Happy Mid-Autumn/Autumn Moon Festival!
(I know it’s early, but they’re celebrating it in SF Chinatown today and tomorrow, so….)
I won’t be going home in time to experiment with making clay mooncakes (home = clay…and oven), but here’s an old tutorial I had on Cut Out+Keep

Take a small amount of light pink and orange polymer clay and mix together

Form the mixed clay into a little ball

Roll out the translucent polymer clay (it helps to have a bit of cornstarch brushed on with a paintbrush to keep it from sticking)

Place the ball of colored clay on the rolled out translucent clay

Cut out around the ball so you have enough clay to thinly fold over the ball completely (it looks a bit like ravioli now)

Roll into a ball, making sure no opaque pink-orange clay is on the outside

Use a rounded piece of wire to make markings, as you would with whipped creams

It should end up like this

Bake according to the instructions on the polymer clay packaging

You can make a bamboo steamer and attach them inside with TLS, or on a plate the same way
